PARENT AND FAMILY EDUCATION:  CP4Y sponsors free community presentations and mails a follow-up brochure to families in the Chagrin Valley.  For more information on recent community presentations, click on Current Projects.  Funding needs: facility rental, speaker fee, handout materials, production and mailing costs associated with follow-up brochure.

CHAGRIN VALLEY YOUTH BOARD:  CP4Y has established the area’s first youth board consisting of 16 high school students from seven public and private schools in the Chagrin Valley. This group chooses service projects and assumes leadership roles around these projects in their schools and communities. Funding needs: stipend for youth board director position and support materials for activities throughout the year.

CONSTRUCTIVE USE OF TIME PROGRAMS -- CP4Y collaborates with area schools and businesses to develop safe and structured use-of-time alternatives for area youth after school and on weekend evenings.  Funding needs: stipend for on-site adult supervisor, facility rental, and food/materials/supplies for activities.

YOUTH SURVEYS -- CP4Y surveys students in grades 9-12 at area high schools to assess how schools and surrounding communities are perceived by youth and how well they meet the needs of youth. Survey results give schools and community members a heightened awareness of youth protective and risk factors and help them better understand what area youth want and need from their communities and schools. Funding needs: survey materials and stipend for someone to input and analyze data.

EVENTS HIGHLIGHTING YOUTH -- In the future, CP4Y hopes to collaborate with community groups to offer (1) events that showcase the talents of area youth and (2) events specifically designed for youth. Examples might include: athletic events, art shows, musical events, theater nights, and a youth taste-of-the-town.  Funding needs: event sponsor, publicity/marketing materials, facility rental, stipends for adult supervisors, event support materials.
